I want to thank A.C.T. Big Bus. The airlines lost our luggage on Sunday. On Monday we were taking a shuttle to our cruise ship from our hotel stopping at the Wildlife Center, just when our luggage was going to arrive at the airport. I called them and was able to get Hank to get my luggage at the airport and drop it off at Whittier. We had a great bus driver Blake. It was raining out that day, but every time we stop the rain stopped. He told us all about Alaska and all the towns as we were going by. THANKS again. 08/14

A group of seven booked a “cruise transfer trip” online from Anchorage to our cruise ship terminal in Seward AK with A Alaska Cruise Transfer – A.C.T. BIG BUS. The large coach bus picked us up within 20 minutes of the time established and we had a wonderful trip to Seward. We saw beluga whales in Turnagain Arm, and stopped at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center on the way where we saw bears, eagle, caribou and even baby moose. What I liked best about the tour was that it was narrated. Our tour guide, Richard, was knowledgeable about the lands, wildlife, culture and history of the area, and all that we were seeing, and listening to Richard as the trip went along was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The bus dropped us of right at the terminal where they whisked our luggage away and we boarded our NCL ship for a wonderful trip!

This was a great way to finish a cruise. The booking process was easy and the price was affordable – especially for a full-day tour. The pickup at the cruise port in Whittier went very smoothly. Trevor, our driver/guide kept us entertained and informed the entire time. Since many flights out of Anchorage seem to leave in the evening or at night, this would be a great way to fill the time between an early morning ship arrival and a flight much later in the day. We were staying a few extra days in Anchorage and it was great to be dropped off right at our hotel. While driving through Anchorage, Trevor gave us some recommendations for things to see, shops to visit and restaurants to try. We visited many of them and they were all great. The whole day was easy and relaxed. This was a good way to finish a cruise whether you’re planning to spend more time in the area or gearing up for a long flight home. 08/14

Holland America was charging $75 for a basic post cruise bus transfer, we decided to look for an independent transfer, and booked with ACT. What a great decision. For $48, we got a wonderful 3 1/2 hour narrated sightseeing tour by Richard aboard a comfortable coach. Our driver Anna was a skilled driver and gave us a smooth ride up to Anchorage. Richard was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the area as well as the flora, fauna and wildlife. On the way up to Anchorage, we were treated to wonderful views of glaciers, mountains and waterways. We were fortunate to be traveling on a sunny day and were able to view both beluga whales in Turnaround Sound, plus a nice view of doll sheep up on the hill. The transfer also included a 50 minute stop at the wonderful Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (a $12.50 value), where we were able to get a close up view of many of the indigenous animals from the area including bears, moose, caribou, reindeer, musk oxen, bison and even an eagle. So if you need transport from Seward to Anchorage, I would HIGHLY recommend taking this tour, you will not be disappointed. 08/14

We decided to look for independent transportation from Whittier to Anchorage since our cruise ship ended there. I found ACT and decided to book them since it was cheaper than what the cruise ship was offering. We were most impressed. We found them easily in the terminal bldg, got on the bus and even got a tour of Whittier (narrated by the guide) since we were early for the prescribed time to get thru the tunnel. We had to change plans enroute to get off at the airport rather than downtown–no problem–the driver let us off. Overall, a great experience, great narration and would book them again! 08/14

My husband and I really enjoyed the bus ride from anchorage to Whittier. Sights were beautiful and loved finding out about the sights we were seeing. Great start to a wonderful vacation!

Whittier was a charming little town but it’s small and we really we wouldn’t have stayed or seen anything of it if it hadn’t been for this tour. Our guide was energetic and informative and really transformed a compulsory trip from A to B into an enjoyable part of our journey to look forward to.

We booked ACT to transport us from Whittier cruise terminal to Anchorage airport. Loved the stop at Wildlife Center. Our bus narrator was excellent, pleasant and very informative. Bus ran on-time and the price was great! We would use this company again… 08/14

My husband and I used this company to get from the last stop of our cruise (Whittier) to Anchorage. Our flight wasn’t till 9:30 that night, so we chose to take the all-day tour, just to kill some time and see a bit more to the area before we flew home. We noticed that it was also the least expensive option if you just wanted to drive directly to Anchorage. We couldn’t have been more pleased! The representative was right there to meet us at the terminal with a big sign, directed us right to the big, comfy bus waiting outside, where the driver took care of our luggage. There was also a tour guide on the bus, who was extremely knowledgable, happy to answer a zillion questions, and very funny to boot! Both the driver and tour guide were super professional and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Wildlife Conservation Center (it was in a gorgeous setting, very clean and beautifully maintained) and the stop at Mt. Alyeska for lunch and STUNNING views! They dropped us off at a hotel in Anchorage that kept our luggage safe while we found a great, fun restaurant in town for a nice dinner and drinks, before we took a short cab ride the rest of the way to the airport. Nothing bad to say – they made it a great, fun day! 09/14

We independently made a reservation with ACT to transport us from the Whittier cruise terminal to Anchorage airport so that we could pick up a rental car for the second portion of our trip. Everything went as planned. It was an inexpensive, reliable, quick, and informative trip. I would highly recommend this shuttle. The bus actually left early that Saturday morning and made the 8am Whittier tunnel rather than the 9am because everyone got to the bus quickly. That was a special bonus, as it added another hour to our vacation!! 09/14
